Despite his work on The Daily Show, Jon Stewart has always been a pretty serious dude. Of course, he’s heavily involved in the world of politics discussion, and at the tail end of his Daily Show career, he directed the film Rosewater, which chronicled the imprisonment of an Iranian-Canadian journalist in Iran.
Now, in his new film, Irresistible, Jon Stewart continues covering political subjects but has brought back an extra bit of comedic flair. Take a look at the Steve Carell-starring comedy down below!
All politics aside, there is no doubt that the Democrats have a tough time tapping into rural America, and it’s that very subject Stewart looks to be cracking in this film. It chronicles an attempt to lift up someone with both rural and somewhat left-leaning values.
If nothing else, it looks like it could be a fun political satire. But what do you think? Does this catch your eye at all? Let us know in the comments down below!
