Pitch Perfect was kind of a surprise franchise for a lot of people. It started out as an unsuspecting underdog comedy story that blew up in a big way. This success continued for its follow-up film, Pitch Perfect 2, which made $287 million off its $29 million budget. However, they kinda screwed the pooch with the third one.

Yes, Pitch Perfect 3 made plenty of money (though not nearly as much as its predecessor), but any goodwill the franchise had built up over the past couple movies as it trudged off into weird and action-focused territory, for some reason. Sure, it’s always been ridiculous, but even it went into the self-parody aspect. But with money comes inevitable sequels, and in a recent post from one of the franchise stars Rebel Wilson, we have hints of a Pitch Perfect 4.

In the above image, we see Wilson along with co-stars Anna Camp, Brittany Snow, and Chrissie Fit all holding up the number four. I’m not a scientist but it doesn’t take one to come to the conclusion that another film could indeed be in the works, but who knows? For all we know, they could be trolling us because it’s funny.

However, if true, does this hint at the possibility that the franchise lead Anna Kendrick will no longer be front-and-center? That’s a possibility, but it’s also a conclusion we can’t really jump to yet.
