James Marsden Joins Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood

Quentin Tarantino is always adept at gathering some of the best casts in cinema today. His next film, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, already stars Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Dakota Fanning, Emile Hirsch, Timothy Olyphant, Burt Reynolds, Margot Robbie, Damien Lewis, and Al Pacino.

Now Variety reports that James Marsden, former Cyclops and current murderous robot Teddy, has just joined the cast of Tarantino’s latest. In addition, actress Julia Butters (American Housewife, 13 Hours) also joined the cast. Though we know who many actors are playing, we don’t know who Marsden and Butters will portray.

Marsden is hotter in Hollywood right now than he ever was playing an X-Men. Just cast in Sonic the Hedgehog, in a role Paul Rudd passed on, Marsden is also leaving his mark on HBO’s hit series Westworld. It’s a Marsden-renaissance!

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood takes place in 1969 Los Angeles. Rick Dalton (DiCaprio), the former star of a western TV show, and his longtime stunt double, Cliff Booth (Pitt), are both struggling to make it in a Hollywood that has changed so much they don’t recognize it. Of course, Dalton has a very famous next-door neighbor, Sharon Tate (Robbie). And the film is being released worldwide on August 9, 2019, the 50th anniversary of the day the Mason family committed the LaBianca murders the day after they murdered Tate.
