Jason Momoa In Belfast, Is He Returning To Game Of Thrones?

An Instagram post shared by Jason Momoa has some fans wondering if Khal Drogo may be making a return to Game of Thrones. The post shows Momoa in Belfast, where the cast and crew of Game of Thrones are currently filming Season 8. In the photo with Momoa is Kristopher Hivju, who plays the Wildling Tormand Giantsbane on the popular HBO series. You can check out the post below:

While it does seem peculiar that Momoa happens to be in Belfast at the same time the show is filming, it is unlikely he is returning to the show, though that doesn’t mean it is impossible. While Khal Drogo could appear to Daenerys Targaryen in some sort of vision or flashback scene, as fans know, the show has enough to worry about without bringing back a long dead character for a cameo.

Momoa still has a lot of love for Game of Thrones, calling it “the greatest show in history,” and giving a shout out to showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. While it’s likely he would jump at the chance to reprise his role as Khal Drogo, with where the show is at, unfortunately,  it doesn’t seem likely to happen in my opinion.
