Jigsaw Writers Developing Yet Another Saw Film

Ugh. More Saw? No thank you!

In 2010, Lionsgate Films released Saw 3D, also known as Saw 3D: The Final Chapter. With the release of Jigsaw seven years later in 2017, this title was proven to be absolutely false. This is why I don’t trust Hollywood…

Bloody Disgusting now reports that Twisted Pictures is moving forward on yet another Saw sequel. The site claims the ninth Saw film is now in active development. Oh, boy!

It is unknown if this upcoming Saw film will be a direct followup to Jigsaw or Saw 3D: The Final Chapter. We do know that Jigsaw writers Pete Goldfinger (great name) and Josh Stolberg (Piranha 3D, Sorority Row) are currently working on the project, so my bet is it’s a direct followup to Jigsaw (not that I have any idea what the difference is… I’ve only seen the first Saw and Saw 6!)

There is not a director attached, as of yet, though it has been confirmed Jigsaw directors Michael and Peter Speirig will not be returning to direct this film.

What do you think about all this? Are you down for a ninth Saw film? Or is it time to end the franchise (or are we far past that)? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below!
