As rumors of an Office reboot/revival continue to be heard, John Krasinki, who for nine seasons played Jim Halpert on the show, recently spoke on the IGN UK Podcast and talked about the idea of getting the gang back together. Krasinki says while he thinks a full revival would prove difficult, he has another idea for the show:
“‘I’ve talked about it a bunch,’ he told the outlet. ‘I love the idea of coming back together [but] I think it’d be impossible to get us all together to do a run of the series. But [British shows] have the Christmas specials. That is such a brilliant thing in television programming, to do a once-a-year sort of check-in with your favorite shows. I absolutely think we should do that, and I don’t know why more shows don’t do that. Hey America! We need to do Christmas specials.'”

If a full reboot isn’t possible, I would gladly take a yearly check in with the group over at Dunder Mifflin. With something so limited, it may even be possible to talk Steve Carell into showing up to reprise Michael Scott.
I absolutely love The Office, every so often I will start the show from the beginning and end up watching it all over again. I personally think it is one of the better sitcoms ever made, certainly behind others like Seinfeld and Arrested Development, but a great show nonetheless.
