John Lasseter Described As ‘Crazy-Horny-13-Year-Old,’ Pete Docter Rumored To Take Helm Of Pixar

Pixar and Walt Disney Animation head John Lasseter is the latest in many Hollywood bigwigs accused of sexual misconduct. According to many sources, the exec would often kiss women on the lips if they didn’t turn their heads in time, give them unwanted hugs, whisper inappropriate comments into their ears, and provide an all-around toxic work environment for female employees. Lasseter has since taken a leave of absence after writing a staff memo, apologizing for “unwanted hugs.”

Apparently, his behavior had been known for years, and according to Vanity Fair, following a 2010 Oscars party, there was a tense phone call between Walt Disney Animation studios president Ed Catmull, Walt Disney Animation Studios production chief Andrew Millstein, Disney corporate communications chief Zenia Mucha, among any others. Lasseter had allegedly french kissed and fondled a Disney employee at the party.

Vanity Fair’s source told them the following:

“The subject of the phone call was, ‘Sh*t, what are we going to do about John? Lasseter is the crazy-horny 13-year-old who you have to keep in check all the time. But there’s no No. 2 for John. He’s the beating heart of Disney Animation and Pixar. He’s a genius. Nobody can do what he does.”

So who could potentially take on the role at Pixar that Lasseter did? While we don’t know for sure, rumors are flying around the studio that veteran employee Pete Docter (Inside Out and Up director) will take the helm from Lasseter during his absence.

Whether or not this will be a long-lasting change is up in the air, but to let Lasseter back in would be a mistake that Disney would get punished in the public eye for. That being said, they are where they are now in large part thanks to Lasseter’s work, so there is no easy answer for them. We only hope they’ll make the right one and allow the studio to thrive based on the in-house talent they’ve been nurturing for decades.
