Joker is making all sorts of money. Not only did it exceed expectations in its opening weekend at the box office, but it’s also managed to stick around in successive weeks, proving to have some decent staying power with moviegoers. As it stands, the film is projected to hit at or around $900 million worldwide.

So, what does this mean? Deadline reports that the film is projected to make around $464 million in profit when all said and done — and this includes the home release. Of course, given the film’s $70 million budget, that’s quite the return on investment, but that’s not the only reason it’s notable.

Apparently, Avengers: Infinity War, when all said and done, made around $500 million in profit, and it’s far out-profited even Aquaman and Wonder Woman, which made $260.5 million and $252.9 million, respectively (remember, this isn’t gross, but profit). With that in mind, Joker looks to be one of the most profitable endeavors DC has ever really had — and that’s without it likely getting a release in mainland China!
