Peele will take on the role made famous by Rod Sterling, host of the 1959 television series, The Twilight Zone.  Peele will also narrate the series. CBS All Access will produce alongside Simon Kinberg’s Genre Films, and Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions. The Twilight Zone will be produced by Rick Berg, Win Rosenfeld, Audrey Chon, Greg Yaitanes and Carol Serling.

The series will likely premiere mid to late 2019. It will air on the streaming service CBS All Access. No story details or synopsis has been released. In the immortal words of Rod Sterling prepare for “A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination”.

It’s interesting to see Peele bring the classic sci-fi series to the modern era. We could be in for a good series run and it will be interesting to watch as further details emerge. It will be nice to see Peele add to the cadre of great quotes from a host. A memorable quote by late The Twilight Zone host Rod Sterling is “It is said that science fiction and fantasy are two different things. Science fiction is the improbable made possible, and fantasy is the impossible made probable”. Sterling could really set the stage for an intriguing half hour of science fiction.
