At this point I am not sure how to take all these revelations from Zack Snyder. It seems like every two weeks or so we learn something new about his vision for the Justice League and the DC Extended Universe that was torn apart by Warner Bros. executives. Today we got yet another nugget from DCEU fans of a scene from his ending of Justice League, which by the looks of it was going to set up the inevitable big threat coming to earth. As you can see, this ending shows the Justice League all gathered and looking into what Snyder has now confirmed was a Boom Tube. This along other details that Snyder has dropped in the past few weeks/months give us the idea that this could have been the moment for Darkseid’s debut. We have already heard about Young Darkseid’s role in ancient Earth’s war with Apokolips as well as the ominous warning that Batman received in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice of Darkseid’s return.

By the looks of the image we can imagine that at this point, instead of the Parademon’s taking Steppenwolf, this would be the moment where Darkseid would feel the need to step in and finish the task that his general had failed. This ending would be evidence that in fact, Snyder’s Justice League story was going to be split into two parts, as originally announced a while back. This would have given Darkseid the slow build and climatic reveal that a character of his caliber would have deserved.

Hopefull,y this is one of the questions that Snyder answers in the near future, was his story going to be split into two films? Like I said in the beginning, as a fan of DC Comic book characters, I am not sure how to take all these revelations as we will never get the opportunity to see his vision, even in a “Snyder Cut” like so many fans have begged for and even if we did, it would be the first part of a bigger story that would never see the light of day.
