Kevin Conroy Sides With Batman Over Superman

One of the older arguments, at least in the DC world, is who is the better hero? The Man of Steel or the Dark Knight?

Legendary voice actor, Kevin Conroy, who has played Batman longer than anyone else, sides with the character he is best known for portraying. In speaking with Red Carpet News, Conroy gave reasons why he thinks Batman is better.

“Let’s face it, Batman is complicated. He’s got issues, he’s dark, and he’s got problems. And he overcomes them all, which is what people love about him. But Superman, he’s square-jawed, farm-fed, he’s just so boring. He’s got no issues. He can see through walls, he can jump over planes, he can fly. What’s the challenge for him?

It’s hard to disagree with Conroy, Superman only has one real weakness in kryptonite, another occasional weakness is he is susceptible to magic. Other than that he is pretty much invincible, which can make a character boring. Granted Batman’s gadgets are very convenient at times, but even with his vast wealth, he is more relatable to most. I think a lot of comic book fans first identify with Superman in their younger days, he is good and moral, and has all these amazing abilities. As fans get older they become more interested in the darker and grittier Batman.
