Kevin Feige Confirms Spider-Man: Far From Home Sequel Title And Hints At Alternate Meanings

Over the weekend Spider-Man: Homecoming star Tom Holland took to Twitter to reveal the title for the upcoming Spider-Man sequel. Holland showed the title on the front page of his script as Spider-Man: Far From Home. To begin with, fans were pondering whether this was a fake title given to Tom Holland to throw fans off the scent. After all, Holland has become pretty renowned for revealing spoilers.

Now Marvel head Kevin Feige has revealed that Spider-Man: Far From Home is indeed the title in an interview with Cinemablend. He also revealed that the title has multiple meanings, here is what Feige told the outlet.

“It’s similar to Spider-Man: Homecoming. I won’t say what the meanings are, but we enjoy that title because, like Homecoming, it is full of alternate meaning. And we liked continuing the ‘Home’ thing, with the little Spidey symbol in the ‘Home.’

So there you have it, folks, Spider-Man: Far From Home is the official name of the upcoming Spidey sequel. The title could obviously refer to a few different meanings as Feige said. First of all, we have the rumors that Far From Home will have the web-slinger on an extended field trip to London with his classmates. This matches with all the other rumors and casting news that has been popping up recently.

However, what other meanings could be inferred from this title? Well, if you recall the last time we saw Spider-Man in the MCU he was stuck on the planet Titan, somewhere very far from home (and if you have seen Avengers: Infinity War, you know it gets even more complicated). We also know that whatever happens in Avengers 4, Spider-Man: Far From Home will be the movie that releases directly after the (sure to be epic) Avengers movie.

So, for now, we will have to play the speculation game about the various meanings of the title Spider-Man: Far From Home. Let us know what you think of the title and any ideas you have for the alternate meanings in the usual place below.
