Kevin Hart Signs Deal With Nickelodeon

Comedian Kevin Hart has signed a deal with Nickelodeon to create television shows for younger viewers. Hart has risen through the ranks of Hollywood over the last decade or so from being a stand-up comedian to starring in films with actors such as Dwayne Johnson and Ice Cube, and this deal further proves he is a jack of all trades within the entertainment industry.

Kevin Hart:

“For me, [Nickelodeon] has always represented everything fun about being a kid, and it’s still at the forefront today of kids’ and family entertainment. I’ve been slimed at Kids’ Choice, won a lot of Orange Blimps and my kids are my very own built-in focus group, so I’m ready to dive in and make some next-level shows with Brian and everyone at Nickelodeon.”

Brian Roberts,  Nickelodeon president:

“I’m excited to inherit this terrific content deal with Kevin Hart just as I step into my new role at Nickelodeon. Kevin is an incredible talent whose appeal cuts across practically every age group and every member of the family. He knows how to create unforgettable characters, and I can’t wait for him and HartBeat Productions to focus their creativity on making great new content with us.”

While I don’t watch any of the shows produced by Nickelodeon, I still think this is a great deal for the Hart, the network, and its viewers. Hart has shown that while he is more than capable of producing adult content with his stand-up specials, and his turn as the cute little rabbit Snowball in The Secret Life Of Pets shows that the comedian can also entertain children.
