Kit Harington Wanted To Be Harry Potter

Some dreams are never meant to come true. That’s the sad reality I’ll ingrain into my kids until they grow old and resentful towards me. Okay, maybe there’s a less harsh way to get that point across, but the point isn’t to crush anyone’s dreams, but to drive home the reality that you won’t get everything you work for — even if you end up getting something that’s just as cool or better than what you hoped to achieve.

Let’s take a look at Game of Thrones Kit Harington. He recently sat down with EW, and in his discussions with them, he revealed that he had his eyes on another big fantasy franchise: Harry Potter.

“I always wanted to be in a Potter movie,” he told the outlet. “I always wanted to be Harry Potter.”

At age 31, he’s certainly around the right age to have potentially auditioned for the character — though I guess he IS a bit old, especially since the films would have started out at a much younger age, when a couple years makes a huge difference. Actor Daniel Radcliffe certainly made a great Harry, but it’s hard not to imagine what could have been had things been just a little bit different. But don’t weep for Harington. After all, he is the star of one of the biggest franchise out there right now, so he’s doing just fine for himself.

But what do you think? Could Kit Harington have made a great Harry Potter? Let us know your thoughts down below!
