Heads up, Knives Out.
Jamie Lee Curtis is joining the already-impressive cast for Rian Johnson’s murder mystery movie, which is being led by James Bond star Daniel Craig. According to Variety, this role comes following the success of Halloween at the box office this past weekend — though if I had to guess, I’d assume this has been in the works for some time.
The film is being pitched as a modern-day whodunnit type mystery in the style made famous by author Agatha Christie. As such, this will be a return to his roots for writer and director Rian Johnson, who most recently set fandom afire with Star Wars: The Last Jedi. In the film, Craig will play a detective assigned to solve a case, though we currently don’t know Curtis’ role.

In addition to Craig, Curtis will also be joining Chris Evans, Lakeith Stanfield, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, and Ana de Armas. The project is aiming to shoot next month, just prior to when Bond 25 was originally set to hit production before Danny Boyle dropped out unexpectedly.
Knives Out will act as Johnson’s palate cleanser before he heads back into the Star Wars universe for his original trilogy of films set in the fictional world. Are you excited to see Curtis join Johnson’s latest? Let us know down below!
