Loki: Tom Hiddleston Reveals The Episode Count

If you’re not excited about a TV series featuring a pre-The Dark World Loki, you need to have your brain scanned. Okay, that’s a bit harsh, but this is a seriously exciting idea for an MCU show. As you all know, Marvel announced that Loki will be debuting on Disney+ in 2021 and that the show will focus on the Loki that escaped capture during Avengers: Endgame. That means we’re getting a Loki that has just suffered defeat at the hands of the Avengers and may be on the run from Thanos. Not only that, but he has the Tesseract, and therefore has the Space Stone. This means Loki can travel anywhere in a single instant.

Loki isn’t the only show coming to our screens over the course of Marvel’s Phase 4 and we’re all wondering how many episodes of each are we getting? Well, thanks to an interview with the God of Mischief himself we know that Loki will be six episodes in length. Tom Hiddleston let this bit of truth out in his discussion with MTV.

Six episodes does seem like a good count to me. One of the biggest complaints of the Netflix/Marvel shows was the 13 episode length. Most found the shows to have too many episodes filled with fluff and subpar side-stories. Personally, I had always felt 8-10 episodes should have been the target. Six could be the magic number though.

Are six episodes enough for you? Will this be a good target for all of the MCU shows? Let us know in the comments below!
