Lost In Space Gets A Mesmerizing Full Trailer

It was only about a week ago that we got an initial tease of the upcoming Netflix original series, Lost in Space. The trailer was almost nothing to speak of — just a bunch of people walking to a spaceship with suits on and a bit of voice-over.

It ended with a release date of April 13, but it was difficult to get too excited over the prospect of another remake of a once-beloved property. In this case, they’d tried once a couple decades back, but it never worked out. Plus, that teaser showed next to nothing.

Netflix didn’t wait long. This morning, they released a full trailer to the masses, and upon watching it, one word comes to mind: Expensive. Yes, the original series may be beloved for its overall shoddy special effects, as well as the iconic robot named…Robot. With this new series, camp seems to be the last thing on its mind, as its visual effects here look near feature-quality level, which is no small feat.

Between the reinterpretation of Robot and the diverse alien landscapes, it’s clear a lot of thought and money went into this project. Below is the official synopsis for Lost in Space:

“The Robinson family, part of a highly trained mission to establish a new colony in space, is unexpectedly pulled off course forcing them to crash land on a lost planet. Danger will find them.”
