It pays to have friends in high places, folks.

Maria Bello, whose impressive career has found her in projects like ERA History of Violence, Coyote Ugly, and Lights Out, is a big fan of AMC’s The Walking Dead. Yeah, get in line, right? The show is a massive hit and there are millions of people who love it. But Bello, you see, isn’t like you or I. She’s a notable actress and has a friend who is a producer on the show. So what happens when you love a show and you have connections? You get to be on the show!

During an interview with People magazine, Bello revealed how she ended up snagging a role on the show- a role we won’t see until next year’s eighth season of The Walking Dead. “I am obsessed with the show,” Bello gushed. “I have a friend who’s a producer on it and I’ve asked them to write me a part, which apparently they are for next season.

Even if I just play a zombie. I said, ‘I’ll just come out and play a zombie for an episode, I don’t care!’ But it is my favorite show,” Bello added.

I don’t know the books at all, so let me just ask you out there: Is there a The Walking Dead character you think Bello would be perfect for? Discuss below.
