Mark Hamill Wants A Role In Guardians 3 And James Gunn Is Interested

Something truly magical may be in the works folks, as an exchange of tweets may lead to Mark Hamill appearing in Guardians of the Galaxy 3. Director of the franchise, James Gunn, and Hamill had a series of tweets to each other that appears to have sparked a meeting of the minds at the very least. You can check out their conversation below. The back and forth was started by Twitter user, Ian Fee, who simply tweeted the suggestion at Gunn to find Hamill a role in the next Guardians film. Gunn Agreed, and Hamill said he would be in on it.

While I’m not sure what role Hamill could take on in the film, Gunn has masterfully guided the franchise to one of Marvel’s most popular, and I’m sure he could do right by both Hamill and the franchise. Would anyone else like to see Hamill take on the role of a villain? I certainly would.

Could this be where the Marvel and Star Wars universes finally crossover? Not likely, but nerds can dream right? Chances are that if Hamill does indeed sign on for the film, that it won’t be a huge role, it would be great if it were, but a smaller, even cameo like appearance is a far more likely outcome.
