Marvel: Composers For Black Widow And Eternals Have Been Revealed

Some fans are apathetic towards the score in a movie, I am not one of them and a good score can sometimes make or break a movie for me. If I think about my top five movies of all time, all have very powerful and iconic scores. So far in the MCU, I would say the scores haven’t quite been on the level (for the most part) with other big franchises. However, there are still some pretty great scores in the MCU, I absolutely loved the score in both Infinity War and Endgame for starters, not to mention Black Panther and the Guardians movies, though both of those use a lot of contemporary music tracks as well.

Well, today we can reveal that the composers for both Black Widow and Eternals have been announced. Check out the post from The GWW on Twitter below.

As you can see, this comes from IMDB listings and Henry Jackman is going to be scoring Black Widow. I feel that fits very well considering he scored both The Winter Soldier and Civil War, movies which in my opinion, are direct lead-ups to the events of Black Widow, which remember, is set before Infinity War. I enjoyed both the MCU scores from Jackman so far, though I’ll admit I prefer The Winter Soldier to that of Civil War.

Eternals, on the other hand, will be scored by Joseph Trapanese, most famously the composer of both The Raid movies and Oblivion. I honestly can’t even remember the score for any of these movies, all of which I think I’ve only seen them once, so I won’t make any comment on how I feel about Trapanese getting Eternals.

Black Widow has just finished filming and set to be released May 1st, next year, while Eternals has not long started filming and is set for a November 6th release, 2020. Next year will be the first for quite some time that Marvel has only had two movies releasing, but they are making up for that with four movies set for release in 2021, what with the third Spider-Man movie now set for a 2021 release also.

Any fans here of Jackman or Trapanese, what do you think of this news? Compose your thoughts and play me a symphony in the usual spot below.
