Moby Dick With Dragons? | I’d Buy That For A Dollar

I’m Stephon White and this is I’d Buy That For A Dollar! Each week, we visit our local stores DVD department and dive into the bargain bin. Are the movies we find worth the dollars we spent? Are they even worth a dollar? You’ll have to find out each week!

This week, I am joined by fellow LRM Online writer Kyle Malone to review the 2011 Ryan Little directed film, Age of Dragons. The film stars Lethal Weapon’s Danny Glover and Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrell’s Vinnie Jones. How can we not be excited to review a film featuring talent like that and featuring dragons in the title? I can best describe this film as Moby Dick with Dragons. Think I’m kidding?

Check out the synopsis below for yourself.

Set in a medieval realm where Captain Ahab and crew hunt dragons for the vitriol that powers their world, Ishmael, a charismatic harpooner, and his friend Queequeg join their quest. Ahab’s adopted daughter Rachel, beautiful and tough, runs the hunting vessel. Ahab’s obsession to seek revenge on a great White Dragon that slaughtered his family when he was young and left his body scarred and mauled drives the crew deeper into the heart of darkness.

Time to find out if this film is worth a dollar. Remember to like, comment, and subscribe so you can stay up to date on new episode releases.
