While fans tried to save the show with a Twitter campaign, it was to no avail as NBC has once again canceled the show Timeless. The show which followed the time-traveling adventures of an odd team of individuals including a professor, a soldier, and a computer programmer. Creator Eric Kripke had this to say on Twitter.
“Behind the scenes, Sony has been trying hard to set it up elsewhere, but no luck so far. I think this 2-hour movie is our best shot. We’re ready to make it if
@nbc really wants it.”
I watched the first season of the show and enjoyed it for what it was, it was more interesting than most major network shows. By the time the second season premiered it had been moved down to the bottom of my personal queue and I didn’t pick it back up again. The show was canceled once before after it’s initial season, but when brought back for a second season run. There is a talk of wrapping up the series with a two-hour tv-movie to wrap the show-up.
Timeless starred Abigail Spencer as historian and team leader Lucy Preston, Malcolm Barrett as programmer and Lifeboat pilot Rufus Carlin, and Matt Lanter as special forces soldier Wyatt Logan
