New Blumhouse Series Coming To Netflix

It seems 2018 belongs to two entities. One of those is Josh Brolin.

The other is Blumhouse Productions. Halfway through the year and the company, operated by CEO Jason Blum, has produced such projects as Insidious: The Last Key, Truth Or Dare, The First Purge, and the Sunday night premiere of HBO’s Sharp Objects. With that said, there are at least a dozen more Blumhouse-produced projects to be released this year alone, including Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman, the SyFy/USA Network series spinoff of The Purge, and the Danny McBride/David Gordon Green Halloween sequel. Moreover, as of the publication of this article, Blumhouse has 64 projects in total set to be released between now and 2021.

One of those upcoming projects is the upcoming Netflix series Ghoul, an original series based out of India. The series, starring Radhika Apte and Manav Kaul, tells the story of a prisoner arriving at a remote military interrogation center. Said prisoner eventually turns the tables on his interrogators and introducing them to an evil that is not of this world.

Blum had this to say about the upcoming Netflix series:

“It has been a great experience working closely with Netflix and our partners at Phantom and Ivanhoe to produce GHOUL. This is Blumhouse’s first foray into the horror genre in India and we’re excited to share this project with horror enthusiasts around the world.”

Ghoul premieres on Netflix August 24th.
