Guardians of the Galaxy became a huge success after Marvel Studios decided to take a B-list comic and then turn it into one of their most surprising and successful franchises. I know I’m not alone in feeling that the movie is Marvel’s best work to date, and possibly one of the best films of all time.  Guardians of the Galaxy has everything; it makes you laugh, it has a huge story line, wonderful characters, great cinematography, and it will make you cry — especially if you have lost someone to cancer.

After loyal Marvel geeks got a peek at some footage of the anticipated follow up, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, fans eagerly awaited the day they’d get thrown a bone. It wasn’t along before we got a taste in the form of a “Sneak Peek.” Even with that awesome first look, director James Gunnseemed to indicate that another, much bigger trailer was on the horizon. Now, thanks to a tweet from John Matthews, we know ABC has revealed that a new trailer will be airing tonight during the ACC Championship game, which starts at 8pm ET.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will star Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket Raccoon, and Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot.  It doesn’t stop there, as this film will be loaded with talent.  Kurt Russel will play Ego the Living Planet, Chris Sullivan is Taserface, Elizabeth Debicki is Mantis, oh and Sly Stallone will make an appearance after his Oscar-nominated performance in Creed.  Lets not forget that Glenn Close, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, and the Sons of Anarachy great Tommy Flannigan are in this as well.

We’re all super stoked to see what this trailer has to offer, and if nothing else, it’ll make waiting another six months an even harder thing to do!

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has a release date of May 5, 2017.
