New PokeRap Created By YouTuber Inspired By Pokemon: Detective Pikachu

Pokemon has sure come a long way, this week we are going to get the first live action film titled Pokemon: Detective Pikachu. By now we know the studios have put out all kinds of trailers, posters and images that show off a lot of the different Pokemon that will be roaming around in the film. With that said how many of you remember the classic Kanto PokeRap that was sung during the end of every episode during the first season of Pokemon? Well YouTubers II Neige and Stephen Krosecz have released a new version of the PokeRap that feature all the Pokemon that have been shown so far, check it out above!

The original version was sung by James “D Train” Williams and Babi Floyd and it was spread throughout five segments that included all 150 Pokemon. One difference in this version is that it centers around the plot of the film about being a detective rather than becoming a Pokemon master. A funny moment in the verse is when they run out of Pokemon to name, so they start guessing what other Pokemon might be in the film.

Warner Bros. Pictures & Legendary Entertainment’s Pokemon: Detective Pikachu is directed by Rob Letterman and is co-written by Dan Hernandez, Benji Samit, Nicole Perlman and Derek Connolly. It stars Ryan Reynolds as the voice of Pikachu, Justice Smith and Kathryn Newton. You can check out what our contributor Fox thought about the film below!
