New Poster For Gretel & Hansel, Starring Sophia Lillis

IT: Chapter One served as a great launching off point for some of the kids. Of course, we already had Stranger Thing’s Finn Wolfhard, but there was also the immensely talented and hilarious Jack Dylan Grazer, who went on to star in Shazam! alongside Zachary Levi. And there is also Sophia Lillis, who went on to star in the limited series Sharp Objects and the kids’ mystery vehicle Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase, the latter of which didn’t really seem to hit.

However, it now sounds like Lillis is returning to the world of horror with the impending Gretel & Hansel, in which she will play Gretel alongside Sam Leakey, who plays Hansel. The film comes from director Oz Perkins (he played that awkward and tall dude from Legally Blonde), and it is, predictably a new take on the original fairy tale story. Now, we have a new poster for the movie.

Below is the official synopsis for Gretel & Hansel.

“A long time ago in a distant fairytale countryside, a young girl leads her little brother into a dark wood in desperate search of food and work, only to stumble upon a nexus of terrifying evil.”

The supernatural-horror film is written by Rob Hayes.

Gretel & Hansel hits theaters on January 31, 2020.
