A new teaser for the Youtube Red series Cobra Kai has been released. The show is going to be a huge chunk of nostalgia for fans of the franchise, and will continue the rivalry of Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence. The new spot shows us Daniel back in his full attire from the original film, and practicing karate. It looks like the Cobra Kai dojo’s nasty brand of karate has made a comeback, and Daniel LaRusso just can’t stand by and let that happen.

None of the series produced by Youtube Red have seemed even remotely appealing to me, but they got me right in the feels on this one. I will tune in purely for nostalgic purposes, and if the show is good, I will keep watching. From the looks of what we have seen so far, I am pretty optimistic this will be a nice return to the world of the original Karate Kid movies. It seems worth giving a shot anyway.

No official release date for the series has been given but it is believed that the show will debut sometime this year.
