Nintendo Switch Online Launches Dumbed Down Version Of Legend Of Zelda

Have you recently tried revisiting classic Nintendo games like Metroid or The Legend of Zelda? As classic as those games are, there’s no denying that they are SUPER HARD. These days, many gamers have lamented how much easier games are, even though today’s games do offer a much more immersive and engrossing experience. If you’re one of those people though, read no further, it’ll only depress you.

According to Eurogamer, today, Nintendo Switch Online subscribers were able to access a game called The Legend of Zelda: Living the Life of Luxury. Rather than just throw you in the middle of the map without so much as a weapon to defend yourself, this one will start players off with rupees and items such as the White Sword, the Magical Shield, the Blue Ring, and the Power Bracelet.

Of course, purists will hate this, but for filthy casuals like myself, I’ll be on there. Over the past 10 years or so, I’ve found myself trying to revisit The Legend of Zelda in various forms, but have pretty much lost interest due to its crazy difficulty. Because I’m no longer a 10-year-old with mountains of time, I’ve gone elsewhere to get my gaming fix. This type of nerfing will allow me to play through the game and actually complete the experience for the first time since 1993, which is awesome.

But what do you think of this game? Does this spit in the face of the spirit of the original game? Let us know your thoughts down below!
