During the madness of New York Comic Con, I managed to find my way through all the attendees, cosplayers, screenings, and panels to Vincent Ferrante in the indie publishers’ section. After surviving what I thought was going to turn into a mosh, there I was face to face with the creator of Witch Hunter. We talked crossing a supernatural Deadpool into an Archie comic.

LRM: Can you introduce yourself to the readers of LRM Online?

Ferrante: I’m Vincent Ferrante.

LRM: Can you tell me about the character and the comic book?

Ferrante: Sure. Witch Hunter essentially is someone who’s trying to wake humanity up to its potential before it gets taken away. Anytime that you buy a product or a book this evil cult is soaking all the energy out of people. So that the old races like the dark elves and the dwarves can move back. So, Witch Hunter is trying to wake people up to their potential before it all gets taken away. So, when all else fails he just set everyone on fire. Basically, it’s like Deadpool except he fights monsters or Dean from Supernatural if he had superpowers.

LRM: Is there a movie or series or any adaptation in the works?

Ferrante: We are talking to a couple of people now about an animated and there has been interest in doing something with an online platform like Netflix or something like that. Whoever they sell it to.

LRM: If you could cross this character over into any other comic book characters world, who would it be?

Ferrante: Actually, I really dig the Archie comics. So, I think they would mesh really well.
