Next summer Orion Pictures will be releasing the reboot of the 1988 film Child’s Play. One of things that we have learned about the film is that our killer doll is getting a modern upgrade and will be named Buddi. To help us get to know Buddi, Orion Pictures has launched a fake website to promote the film. You can check it out here!

The website allows us to get to know Buddi and all of his features from Kaslan. Apparently, Kaslan has a variety of products and smart devices that will all be able to connect with Buddi. You’ll be able to program the doll on your tablet, computer or smart phone. The doll will have a highly intricate voice recognition engine that can recognize speech and fluently comprehend and converse in both English and Spanish with the ability to learn other languages. He is equipped with 20 sensors and cameras that provide him detailed real time information about it’s environment. Some of these sensors give him high resolution image recognition and grip sensitivity.

Along with the description of the Buddi doll there is also a letter from the president and founder of Kaslan Corporation Henry Kaslan, teasing the launch of the Buddi doll. Also there is a link to the Kaslan Corp. website, which at the moment is currently under construction. The site does make the point to let it’s visitors know that you can’t actually pre-order the doll. But it does allow you to download a few different wallpapers for your phone as well as link it’s social media accounts.

This reboot of Child’s Play will be the eighth in the franchise. It will be directed by Lars Klevberg and it stars Aubrey Plaza, Brian Tyree and Gabriel Bateman and it set to go head to head with Disney’s Toy Story 4.
