Rag Doll Coming To Central City in The CW’s The Flash

It’s hard to believe that in less than two months The Flash will be starting it’s fifth season. We already know that this season the “fastest man alive” will go head to head with the mysterious Cicada, played by Chris Klein. As the debut date gets closer and closer more details are revealed about what DC characters we will be seeing on the Flash. We now have word on another villain that will be traveling to Central City.

According to That Hashtag Show one of the villains heading to television from the pages of comic books is Peter Merkel a.k.a. Rag Doll. He is the classic Flash bad guy from the Golden Age Flash, Jay Garrick. He was created by Gardner Fox and Peter Merkel and first appeared in DC Comic’s Flash Comics #36 December, 1942.

Here is the casting call description for Merkel character:

“The casting call is searching for a male in his 20s as Peter is described as an incredibly emotional damaged criminal who has the power to bend out of shape and fit his whole body into small spaces. As he is enjoying his criminal activities, Team Flash will be challenged by the Rag Doll in shocking ways as his sick plan is revealed. The breakdown specifies that they would ideally like to get actual Contortionists/Dancers or any kinds of performers who are able to contort their bodies in very disturbing ways.”

For the time being, it looks like Rag Doll will only be featured in one episode. It will be interesting to see how they portray this strange Flash villain. Team Flash will have their hands full with Cicada as well as the arrival of Barry’s daughter Nora West-Allen from the future.

The Flash Season 5 will premiere Tuesday, October 9th at 8/7c on The CW.
