Ralph Breaks The Internet Celebrates Internet Day With New Clip

Fun fact. Apparently on this day way back in 1969, the government had its first successful test. On the flip side, it also had its first crash — but it doesn’t matter because it laid the foundation on which all of our lives currently reside. Society could no longer function without the internet, and we have to celebrate its existence on some level.

Without the internet, Ralph Breaks the Internet would also not exist — a film whose very title touts its overall importance. With that in mind, Walt Disney Animation Studios has released two videos. The first (above) is a scene from the film where Ralph and Vanellope talk to Mr. Knowsmore, the hub of information in this world, and essentially the Google of this take on the internet. The second video is a little history lesson from star Sarah Silverman, where she fills us in on that little bit of trivia I shared.

Below is the official synopsis for Ralph Breaks the Internet:

Ralph Breaks the Internet leaves Litwak’s video arcade behind, venturing into the uncharted, expansive and thrilling world of the internet—which may or may not survive Ralph’s wrecking. Video game bad guy Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) and fellow misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) must risk it all by traveling to the world wide web in search of a replacement part to save Vanellope’s video game, Sugar Rush. In way over their heads, Ralph and Vanellope rely on the citizens of the internet—the netizens—to help navigate their way, including a webite entrepreneur named Yesss (voice of Taraji P. Henson), who is the head algorithm and the heart and soul of trend-making site “BuzzzTube.”
