Ralph Wrecks The Internet – Story Artist Natalie Nourigat Explains How Ralph Came To Wreck The Internet

When word came down that a sequel to 2012’s Wreck-It Ralph was in the works, many wondered where Ralph would go to wreck stuff next. Eventually the news came that Ralph and his pals were headed to the internet, which is a huge jump from Ralph and Co.’s 8-bit world. In speaking with LRM‘s own Gig Patta, Ralph Breaks the Internet story artist, Natalie Nourigat explains how the idea of Ralph wrecking, or rather breaking the internet came about.

“I’m not gonna pitch this right, but [co-director] Phil [Johnston], when they had the idea of going to the internet, Phil was like, well, ‘Ralph breaks things, what if Ralph breaks the internet? He declares war on the internet, like, ‘I’m gonna wreck it.'”

Ralph has a lot of Hulk like qualities, he is big, he is burly, adorable in his own way, and wrecking things is something both characters are known for, except Hulk smashes and Ralph wrecks.. Ralph Breaks the Internet on November 21.
