Reports That Deathstroke and Ravager Will Join DC Universe’s Second Season Of Titans

If there is one villain DC loves to include in their stories, it’s Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke. Different versions of the character has popped up in different television series, films and even games. For example in Teen Titans animated series as well as currently on Young Justice: Outsiders, on Arrow where he is played by Manu Bennett, in the DCEU where he had a cameo appearance in the end of the Justice League film where he is played by Joe Manganiello, in the animated film Teen Titans: Judas Contract and recently the villain in the Teen Titans Go! To The Movies film last summer. He is also featured in both Injustice video games as well as the Batman Arkham Origins game. Had enough of Slade Wilson?

Well DC doesn’t think so. According to ThatHashTagShow their sources are telling them that Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke and his daughter Ravager will be in the second season of DC Universe’s Titans, with Deathstroke serving as the main antagonist for the season. This comes soon after a casting call was revealed looking for traits that basically indicated the arrival of Deathstroke’s son Joe aka Jericho. But according to the report the DC Universe Titans version of the Deathstroke will be a different version of the character than what we are used to seeing.

Here is the description from ThatHashTagShow:
In this universe, Slade Wilson will be portrayed as a military man with a family but whose demanding nature tore that family apart. Described as a dedicated and patriotic solider, Slade is forced into early retirement by the military, setting him on a path of vengeance on those who he believes betrayed him. Comic book fans know of Wilson’s long history with the Titans, but we’ll see how much of that Johns and crew follow on the show.

The studio is looking for a Latinx, Asian or Caucasian male, 40-55, to play Deathstroke. As far as Ravager they are looking for a mixed Latinx or mixed Asian actress, 18-21.

In the comics Deathstroke has been genetically modified to surpass human limits and although once a soldier, he works as one of the most dangerous and feared assassins in the DC Universe. He was created by the legendary creative team of Marv Wolfman and George Perez and first appeared in comics in DC Comics’ The New Teen Titans #2 in December of 1980. Ravager aka Rose Wilson is the daughter of Slade and Lillian Worth. She was trained by her father to become a highly skilled warrior. She was created by Wolfman and Art Nichols and first appeared in comics in DC Comics’ Deathstroke The Terminator #15 in October of 1992. She has worked with and against the Titans over the years.

It looks like they are going to go deep into the Wilson’s family issues for the Titans‘ series, it should make for an interesting season. Especially with the fact that some of the events from the first season are yet to wrap up as well.
