Rick And Morty Dungeons & Dragons Tabletop Game Coming This Fall

Fans have been begging for a new season of Rick and Morty for quite a while now. Well last week we were all happy to find out that our favorite duo will be back this fall. In the mean time, our favorite characters from the Adult Swim animated series have been taking over other forms of media. For example their on-going Rick and Morty comic book at Oni Press publishing currently written Kyle Starks and Karla Pacheco with artwork by Marc Ellerby and Ian McGinty.

That comic book lead to a four issue mini-series titled Rick and Morty vs. Dungeons & Dragons by Jim Zub and Patrick Rothfuss back in 2018. We find that Morty is trying impress a girl that plays D&D so he turns to Rick who is a veteran D&D player. But as we know all Rick and Morty adventures, this turns into more than just character sheets and dice rolls.

Now the crossover will jump from the pages of the comic books to a new tabletop adventure as it has been announced that they will be getting their very own tabletop adventure set that will be released later this year. The box set will have a special adventure that mixes the world D&D with Rick and Morty and it is designed for Level 1-3 character. You can check out the cover below!

Along with that this September, Oni Press will be releasing a second four issue Rick and Morty vs. Dungeons & Dragons mini-series titled Painscape. This will also be written by Zub with artwork by Troy Little. The first cover for the series has been released, which is a parody of Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage with Rick depicted as Halaster Blackcloak and Morty’s head seemingly becoming a Death Tyrant. You can check them out side by side below!

As a fan of both D&D and Rick and Morty I am excited to see more crossovers between the two properties. Will you be taking on this adventure by Rick Sanchez? Let us know in the comment section below!
