Rick & Morty May Get A Longer Fourth Season

Adult Swim’s popular show, Rick & Morty, may be getting an expanded fourth season. Up to this point, the show has averaged about 10 episodes per season, and has put no rush on the output as to keep the content of high quality.

However, recent statements Co-creator Dan Harmon made in an interview with Entertainment Weekly suggest that this could change.

“I would like to think I’ve learned enough from my mistakes in season 3 that we could definitely do 14 now, but then I have to say, ‘Yeah but you’re the guy who says we can do 14 who turned out to be wrong so we’re not listening to you now.’ The nice healthy way to approach this is I want to prove it with the first 10 of season 4 — prove it to ourselves, to production, to the network — that it’s so easy that we’ll earn additional episodes. “

Fans had to wait more than a year for the third season to premiere, so we’ll have to wait and see if an increased production is actually in the cards. As a fan of the show, I would of course like more episodes, but I would rather the quality of the show stay the same as opposed to having more mediocre content. If they’re able to keep up the high bar of quality, then I’d say bring it on. But what do you think?
