Rob Liefeld Creates Deadpool-Inspired Detective Pikachu Drawing

You ready for some nightmare fuel? Every now and then you may stumble upon those articles that show off Pokémon if they were present in our real world. This isn’t quite as creepy and odd as that, but it’s creepy and odd in its own way, even if it is an actual drawing and not some weird bastard child of Photoshop.

I’m talking about a new drawing from Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld. The man is known for being incredibly engaged in fandom, and the comic book artist recently took to social media to post a drawing he made of Pikachu. But it’s not just any drawing of Pikachu. It’s Pikachu with a twist. Check out the drawing down below!

As you can see, we have here more of an illustration version of Pikachu, looking more at home in a kid’s chapter book than in a proper comic, but the real creep factor sets in when you look at his eyes. Instead of eyeballs, we get Deadpool masks, which gives it a weird mannequin look that I’m not overly fond of.

Of course, this is a reference to the character being voiced by Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds in the upcoming Detective Pikachu film, and even in a recent tease to today’s trailer, Reynolds poked fun at himself for not really making an effort to change his voice for the character.

What do you think of the drawing? Let us know down below!
