Solid Snake was sadly missing from the last iteration of Nintendo’s unique fighting franchise, Super Smash Bros. WiiU. But, a new rumor from Event Hubs suggests that Konami’s signature character will return.
Event Hubs has a source, Vergeben, who has, to be fair, been hit or miss for them, but often hits. Apparently he called that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would be in Injustice 2’s last DLC so long before the official announcement it seems more than a lucky guess. He also told Event Hubs about Soul Calibur 6 before it was announced, even naming a new character correctly before he was announced. That being said, Event Hubs admits that Vergeben was dead-wrong about over a dozen characters he claimed would be in Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite.

That’s all just background so you know how many grains of salt to take this news with.
Vergeben’s latest claim is that Snake will be returning to Super Smash Bros. for the upcoming Nintendo Switch title. He also says the game will have a heavy Minecraft presence in the form of a stage, assist trophy, or even something bigger.
So, we shall see, but that is the rumor. Welcome back, Snake?
