RUMOR: Michael B. Jordan Being Considered For Superman In Wake Of Henry Cavill’s Departure

Well, that didn’t take long. The mangled corpse of one Henry Cavill has yet to even be buried in the world of the DCEU and rumors are already abound about one specific Hollywood golden boy taking on the mantle.

Yeah, in case you hadn’t heard, it’s probably important that I lead with that. Henry Cavill is OUT of the DCEU as Superman. There were a number of factors that contributed to this, but one big one is Warner Bros.’ impending focus on Supergirl. Rather than capitalize on the Man of Steel, they plan on turning attention to his cousin, meaning a sequel wouldn’t happen for several years.

This leaves the door open for radical change, and according to Deadline, one actor they’re considering is Black Panther‘s Michael B. Jordan. There are no details as to how a move like this would take place — as such, we have no idea if they’d even try to attempt to answer the question of how Superman went from white to black, but it’s very clear they’re not against radical change.

What do you think of Michael B. Jordan taking on the mantle of the Man of Steel? Additionally, what do you think DC would need to do with their film universe in order to make this believable? Let us know down below!
