RUMOR – Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 To Start Shooting This Summer, Possibly In Germany

Looks like this summer Tom Holland and Zendaya may be back to work on this summer on Spider-Man Homecoming 2 as production is set to begin on June 2nd and wrap up sometime in September. This of course comes after the success of the first film Spider-Man: Homecoming, which featured a Spider-Man that lived inside the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We will next see the wall crawler in Disney’s Avengers: Infinity War in May.

Thanks to a report by Omega Underground we have learned that director Jon Watt’s could be shooting some of this film in Berlin, Germany. Its noteworthy that Spider-Man’s introduction came in the airport scene in Germany during the events of Captain America: Civil War, so there could be some loose ends that Parker left there that need to be resolved.

In comics, Berlin does have ties with Spider-Man. This is where, after being brainwashed, Ned Leeds becomes the villain Hobgoblin. Also, this is where in 1987 Spider-Man goes up against Wolverine. Both of these scenarios are highly unlikely, as Marvel is barely acquiring the X-Men and there are no signs of actor Jacob Batalon playing Hobgoblin anytime soon.

Along with the director, writers Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers are back on the film as well as the majority of the cast. Looks like we will be getting a similar film to the first installment. Other than that not much else is known about the film, we’ll just have to wait and see. What do you expect from the sequel? Let us know below!
