Ryan Reynolds Compares Deadpool And Detective Pikachu In New Post

Nowadays, you can’t really mention Ryan Reynolds without mentioning Deadpool. It may have taken him years and years to get the character fully realized on the big screen, but now it’s hard to separate him from the Merc with a Mouth. Imagine audiences surprise recently when Pokémon: Detective Pikachu hit, revealing Ryan Reynolds’ take as the crime-busting electric mouse Pocket Monster.

Even when I sat in theaters this past weekend while seeing Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald and the trailer for Detective Pikachu played, I heard whispers about Deadpool in the audience. Rest assured, many fans are still expecting Pikachu to pretty much be a kiddified Deadpool, and I guess there’s nothing wrong with that. Now, Ryan Reynolds himself has added fuel to the flames with this cute little graphic comparing the two characters.

As you can see, the image above contrasts the tiny and adorable Pikachu to the violent and deadly Deadpool. Fun little categories include “Cancer,” “Vice,” And “Family Friendly.” Of course, Deadpool normally isn’t family friendly, but this coming month, you’ll be able to see him in a PG-13 take on the second Deadpool film in Once Upon a Deadpool, so we’ll see how that goes.

What do you think of this comparison. If you could keep one of them in a cage, which would it be? Sound off down below!
