Ryan Reynolds Visits Marvel Studios, ‘Escorted To The Ground’ By Man With Taser

Let the speculation begin! As much as audiences love Deadpool, his character has been one big, thick, juicy question mark for the MCU. With Disney now taking control of the character, it wasn’t necessarily a sure thing that we’d get another movie — or if we’d have to settle with a PG-13-rated one. All we’ve heard from Marvel Studios is that they were figuring it out.

If there’s one thing audiences can probably agree on though, it’s that Ryan Reynolds simply canNOT be replaced in the role of the foul-mouthed merc. Well, it looks like conversations have started between Reynolds and Marvel Studios, as Reynolds tweeted.

“Auditioned for the role of ‘Anthony Stark.’ Didn’t come even remotely close, but the nice man with the taser escorted me to the ground.”

So, what does this all mean? Well, currently nothing, I’m sure. They’re likely figuring out the best way to make this happen in the MCU — or even considering a way to let the character exist in his own bubble universe. Regardless, I’ll be okay so long as Reynolds keeps on playing the character.
