Serkis Playing Multiple Roles in ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’?

Word on the street is that Andy Serkis is quite a busy man on the Star Wars: The Force Awakens set. First, it was confirmed that it was his voice we heard in last week’s teaser trailer. Now we’re hearing that he may play more than one role in the film itself.

According to a rumor published by Jedi News, we will see him both in-the-flesh and as one of his vintage motion capture creations in the film. He won’t be alone in the mo-cap department, as he’s expected to be joined by Parkour expert Pip Andersen and Crystal Clarke. But where things get real interesting is when it comes his rumored flesh-and-blood role.

Serkis is supposedly playing a pivotal character in the film’s first act, as someone integral to introducing us to Daisy Ridley’s backstory.

The site cautions that this is all merely a rumor, but that it comes from a reliable source.

What do you make of that? Are you as excited about Star Wars: The Force Awakens as I am? It’s easily my most anticipated film of 2015. Yes, even eclipsing Age of Ultron.
