Shazam: Zachary Levi Teases Superhero Costume

As we reported, production has begun on DC’s upcoming superhero film, Shazam!. On board to play the hero formerly known as Captain Marvel is well-known fanboy, Zachary Levi. Once transformed from the young kid Billy Batson, he will turn right into the Chuck TV star.

While director David F. Sandberg and star Zachary Levi have done a great job of teasing us throughout the entire development and preproduction process, we still have seen very little in terms of actual content. We really don’t know what to expect in terms of plot, nor do we know what Shazam himself will look like.

On Wednesday, Levi posted a new photo on Instagram, and in it, we see the actor bundled up in what looks to be a big jacket. The reason? Apparently, the full Shazam costume is underneath:

Of course, the teasing continues, as there is almost zero evidence of what this costume actually looks like (how will it help differentiate itself from Superman?), but I did notice one mild difference. Perhaps I’m imagining it, but I’m pretty certain Levi’s hair is more jet-black than usual, meaning he had to dye it in order to have the pure, non-aged hair we’d come to expect from the superhero.

It makes sense, given that Shazam is basically a superhero of wish-fulfillment, and I doubt there are any kids out there wishing for gray hairs.
