With Solo: A Star Wars Story just about a month and a half away, more and more details about the film are starting to trickle into the news world. The film’s massive production problems have many fans worried, and along with that some folks still aren’t sold on Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, or sold on the movie in general. The actor recently spoke on the latest episode of The Star Wars Show and gave fans an idea of what the can expect from the anthology film:
“It has a lot of jokes, a lot of humor. You spend a lot more time dealing with the feelings and the kind of inner life of the characters.”

While I will surely be in the theater at some point on May 25, Ehrenreich’s emphasis on the jokes and humor in the film are somewhat disconcerting to me. A lot of the humor in Star Wars: The Last Jedi fell flat for me, and I am hoping that Solo doesn’t have more of the same. Han Solo has always had a certain type of sarcastic humor, one that doesn’t seem to be present in the footage we have seen so far.
