Sony’s Bloodshot Reported To Start Filming This Summer

With so much uncertainty in the Valiant community because of the recent changes with Valiant Entertainment, here is a bit of good news to share. According to Omega Underground Sony’s Bloodshot starring Vin Diesel will begin shooting in July. The report also states that the filming will likely happen in Prague, Czech Republic. This will be very familiar to Diesel as this is the same are where he shot the original XXX film. Bloodshot will be directed by Dave Wilson and produced by the Fast & Furious’ Neal Moritz. The script will be done by Arrival screenwriter Eric Heisserer and Jeff Wadlow. Due to the character’s violent attributes like a Deadpool or a Wolverine, the film is expected to have an R-Rating. Bloodshot will be the first film in the Valiant cinematic Universe. Harbinger will follow soon after Bloodshot and it will eventually lead into a crossover featuring the Harbinger Wars storyline.

Bloodshot first appeared in Valiant Comics Eternal Warrior #4 in 1992. He was created by Kevin Vanhook, Don Perlin, and Bob Layton. When Valiant relaunched in 2012 Duane Swierczynski took on the Bloodshot series which has been followed by a fantastic run by Jeff Lemire. He is currently still writing the Bloodshot Salvation series for Valiant Entertainment, which is a great read.
