A few days ago we first saw a single image from Spider-Man: Far From Home of a carnival wheel. This seemed to show both Mysterio complete with fish-bowl helmet (spotted by one of our readers) as well as Spider-Man in what appears to be a black suit.

The image led to much speculation about why Spider-Man would be donning a black colored suit in the sequel. The why may still be unknown, but over the weekend we got some more footage of the black suit. A video from the set has now hit Instagram showing this black-suited Spider-Man in action. It seems like we can pretty much rule out any kind of symbiote related reason for the black suit here, based on the look alone. However, that’s not stopped some fans from continually declaring that Peter comes back to Earth with a symbiote. Guys, Sony is releasing a stand-alone Venom movie soon, it’s not happening, move on.
So what exactly is going on with this black suit? Well, my first thought here was that Peter has changed the color of his suit, specifically to not look like Spider-Man. After all, Peter is in Europe, Spider-Man is in Europe, you’d worry his non-Ned friends would start to work out Peter is Spider-Man. We also have a rumor today from MCU Cosmic. In this report, they say that Peter will have a red and black variation on his suit this time and that it is indeed a Stark made suit. The outlet then goes on to say they think this suit will be similar to an earlier design from Homecoming which was red and black. Theories since have sprung up that the red will be replaced by all black for some kind of ‘stealth-mode’.
I kinda have a hope they are wrong here, and that in order to not be recognized as Spider-Man, Peter makes his own black-colored suit. The suit here does not look very Stark Tech to me, but then this look could change a lot in post when they add in visual effects.
