One of the more talked about pieces on nerd content over the last week or so, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse, looks like it’s going to be a whole lot of fun for fans of the character, or rather characters. The film will feature several different versions of the webslinger, including Spider-Gwen and Miles Morales.
The actor who landed the role of Miles Morales, Shameik Moore, seemed had a feeling he would get the role. Enough of a feeling that he wrote in his personal journal that he was Spider-Man before he was confirmed to have the role. Moore spoke at a press conference for the film back in April that LRM had the opportunity to sit in on, Moore said:
“Well you know, I was hopeful. I was very hopeful. I wrote ‘I am Spider-Man’ in my journal like literally right when I did a movie called Dope and my friend got me a journal. Her name is Kiersey [Clemons] and I wrote ‘I am Spider-Man’ and then I am Miles Morales on the back of the page and I remember telling them that and the next thing I know, I got that call that I was Spider-Man and I was like, ‘Yeah! Sounds about right.'”

It seems as if Moore’s Spidey-Sense was in play just before he got the role, sometimes things just seem to work out. From the trailers, this film looks like it will be amazing, and I may even make a theater trip for this one, which will be the first time for an animated film in quite some time.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse is released on December 14.
