Reports are surfacing today that this past Friday Stan Lee’s former manager, Keya Morgan, was charged with, among other things, elder abuse towards the legendary comic writer and editor of Marvel Comics, CBS News reports. The 43-year-old memorabilia collector faces five counts of charges that include false imprisonment, fraud and forgery.
Morgan began working for Lee in 2017, but after reports of elder abuse began to surface, Lee’s family filed a restraining order against the manager. That restraining order alleged that Morgan was taking advantage of Lee’s advanced years, to include impaired judgment, hearing and vision.
Shortly before Lee’s death, Morgan allegedly seized control of Lee’s Hollywood Hills home and hired security guards to keep friends and family away from the legend. This time last year, Morgan was arrested by Los Angeles police when he called 9-1-1 on “burglars,” who were in fact officers performing a welfare check on Lee.

A warrant has been issued for Morgan’s arrest.
