Star Trek: Has The Title For The Picard Series Just Been Revealed?

CBS All Access has been fast-tracking a lot of Star Trek content as of late. Of course, the flagship series on the platform is Star Trek: Discovery, but in addition that, the network announced the impending release of the animated comedy series Star Trek: Lower Decks, which will give fans a whole new perspective of the goings-on in these ships.

However, the series that many longtime fans seem to be looking forward to is the Jean-Luc Picard series, which will see Patrick Stewart returning to the role he played back during the Next Generation era of the franchise. Sadly, overall details have been pretty sparse on the whole deal, though it did seem to be moving along pretty quickly, and was likely to get in front of cameras over the course of the next couple months.

Now, a new report from Production Weekly not only confirms these implications from the show’s producers, but it also reveals a couple of potential new titles — one being the official title of the show, and the other being its production title. Let’s start with the production date. Assuming this report can be believed (and it has a solid track record), it is set for an April 14 production start, meaning we have just over a month until it all begins.

In terms of the title, its production title is listed as Drawing Room, and its official title is shown to be Star Trek: Destiny. As far as the official title goes, this would make sense, as “Destiny” was one of the six subtitles CBS Studios filed trademarks for, another one being Lower Decks. So while this isn’t official, signs are pointing to this being a real possibility.

Though it is just a title, what do you think? Let us know your thoughts down below!
